Siyamani successfully completed the installation of six 30-meter high mast lighting structures at the Matla Exxaro Mine. This turnkey project involved end-to-end delivery — from civil works to electrical installation — ensuring a robust and reliable lighting solution tailored to the client’s operational needs.
Scope of Work:
Foundation Works:
Each high mast foundation was carefully excavated and cast to engineering specifications, forming the secure base and anchor point for the structures. Foundations were allowed to cure for 28 days to achieve the required strength and durability.
High Mast Assembly & Installation:
All high mast sections were fully assembled at ground level. Wiring and light fixtures were pre-installed before lifting, ensuring safety and efficiency. Using specialized rigging equipment, the masts were hoisted, positioned, and secured with precision.
Electrical & Lighting System:
Each mast was equipped with six high-performance floodlights, specially sourced to meet demanding site requirements. Each fixture outputs 165,000 lumens at 1250 watts, delivering powerful illumination essential for safe night operations.
Project Duration:
Excluding foundation curing time, the full project was completed in 15 working days. This included excavation, steelwork, earth bonding, concrete casting, mast assembly, erection, light installation, and testing.
Siyamani is currently executing a specialized traffic light control system project at the New Mine 1 Loading Area to enhance vehicle movement and safety in this high-traffic operational zone.
Scope of Work (Ongoing):
Civil Works & Trenching:
Excavation of foundation pits for the traffic light structures and trenching for underground cable routes have been completed.
Mounting & Installation:
Once the concrete foundations cured and met required specifications, the robot (traffic) lights were mounted and installed.
Electrical Systems:
Distribution board (DB) enclosures were installed to house all electrical components. Our technicians have begun the cabling, wiring, and system programming necessary for automated operation.
Cable Management:
Cable racks were installed to support and protect all control and power cables along the route.
Work in Progress:
Installation of traffic sensors to activate lights based on vehicle movement.
Erection of road signage to support and guide site traffic.
Final system commissioning and testing to ensure full functionality and safety compliance.
Test/ fault locate a cable with the length of up to 10km with a digital screen display on how far the fault is and with the help of the fault locating headset and portable screen we can manually walk and identify the route of the cable as wel as indicate the location of the fault and thumps up to 32KV,
